Does it really contract my muscles, or is it just vibration?
It contracts them. The Pulse Cycle sends timed impulses into the muscle so it tightens and releases — you can feel it and see it from the first session. Vibration sits on the skin; a contraction is the muscle itself working.
How strong does it get, and does it hurt?
You set the strength, level by level, across nineteen levels. The right level feels like a deep, firm squeeze you could hold a conversation through. Start low, build gradually, and stay where it feels good.
Is it safe for me?
The Ilvae EMS Trainer is built for everyday home use with intensity you control from the very first level. Full usage guidance and the complete list of medical contraindications come with the device. Do not use the belt if you have a pacemaker, a defibrillator or any other implanted electronic or metal device, if you are pregnant or think you may be, if you have epilepsy or any seizure disorder, or if you have had recent surgery and your doctor has not cleared you yet. Ask your doctor first if you have heart disease, diagnosed or suspected, cancer or a diagnosed tumour, blood clots or circulation problems, diabetes or reduced skin sensation, an abdominal hernia, or any condition you are under care for.
Will it fit me?
The belt fits waists up to 44 in (112 cm). It sits flat and slim enough to wear under a shirt.
Is this really a one-time purchase?
Yes. One payment, and the system is yours. No membership, no app fee, no subscription of any kind — this is one of the reasons Ilvae exists.
Do the arm trainers work the same way?
Yes — the same Pulse Cycle, sized for your arms, one trainer per arm with its own controls. Most people run them during the same session as the belt.
What about the gel pads?
There are none to replace. The pads are moulded into the belt, so there are no sticky gel sheets to buy again. Water is the only consumable: mist them before a session and wipe them after.
How do I look after it?
Lightly mist the built-in pads with water before each session. Afterwards, wipe them with a damp cloth, let the belt air-dry completely and recharge the controller when the battery runs low. Do not soak the controller.
How long does the battery last?
Allow approximately 1 hour for a full USB charge. A full charge provides up to 4 hours of use, or about twelve 20-minute sessions; actual battery life varies with the intensity level.
When will my order arrive?
We currently ship within the United States. Orders are processed in 1–2 business days, and your delivery estimate is shown at checkout. You get a tracking link as soon as your order ships.
What if I want to return it?
You have 60 days. Email support@ilvae.com, a person answers, and we sort out the return together.
How soon will I notice something?
The contraction itself: session one. A stronger, tighter-feeling core builds with consistent sessions over the following weeks — the same way any muscle responds to regular work.
The Ilvae EMS Trainer is an electrical muscle stimulation device intended to be used alongside regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle, not as a replacement for them. It is not a weight-loss or fat-loss product. Contraindications and safety information: Do not use the belt if you have a pacemaker, a defibrillator or any other implanted electronic or metal device, if you are pregnant or think you may be, if you have epilepsy or any seizure disorder, or if you have had recent surgery and your doctor has not cleared you yet. Ask your doctor first if you have heart disease, diagnosed or suspected, cancer or a diagnosed tumour, blood clots or circulation problems, diabetes or reduced skin sensation, an abdominal hernia, or any condition you are under care for.
